I love
the Paul Thek exhibition at gallery Isabella Czarnovska in Berlin. It’s a very rare show of the “artist’s artist” Paul Thek’s artworks which for this show were selected and composed by Luc Tuymans.
Rene Habermacher featured American top model Kendra Spears for this autofocus picture for Numero Paris.
Jonas Unger has been shooting with our stylist Anna Schiffel in Monte Carlo for a fashion story which is a hommage to Helmut Newton.
I love
Jonas Burgert’s narrative paintings make him, in my opinion, one of the best painters at the moment. The self-contained worlds of his very own logic are inhabited by shamans meeting present-day urban dwellers, Commedia dell’arte characters and rackabones taken from old xylographs trying to make their way through the inhospitality of our modern cities, and those animals that could have been arisen in some emblematic way.
I love
Laurie Anderson’s song Oh Superman which was released in 1981 and made her famous. The half-sung, half-spoken, almost minimalist piece unexpectedly rose to #2 on the U.K. single charts in the same year. Click on the pic to listen to that great piece of music.
Felix Brüggemann has shot the soon to be released campaign for the government of Thailand on location.
Mark Borthwick’s film including soundtrack for the Mykita 2012 campaign is out now. Click on the picture to watch the clip.
I love
James Vincent McMorrow’s cover version of Steve Winwoods Higher Love which was a huge hit in 1986. Beautiful lyrics, beautiful voice, beautiful song. Click on the pic for listening.
