Andy Kania and Clemens Meyer have a show at the Museum of Fine Arts (Museum der Bildenden Künste Leipzig) in Leipzig, an exhibition on the subject of Karl May, called Weltenschöpfer.
Axel Hoedt releases his photo book Once A Year (German original title: Einmal im Jahr) in London this Friday. Born and raised in one of the capitals of Alemannic Carnival celebrations, Freiburg, Hoedt shows the carnival revellers and their disguises beyond established clichés and radically breaks with carnival iconography.
Munetaka did a photo shoot for an athletes editorial in Miami.
Mark Borthwick photographed singer Nathalie Bergmann together with us for Numero Magazine in New York.
I love
Gertrude Stein who has written the sentence “Rose is a rose is a rose is a rose.” as part of the 1913 poem Sacred Emily, which appeared in the 1922 book Geography and Plays and expresses the fact that simply using the name of a thing already invokes the imagery and emotions associated with it.
The joint edition of SZ Magazin and Zeit Magazin that also had featured KANIA’s 10 pages photo shoot about Hell Angels in Germany has won gold at the Art Directors Club Germany! We congratulate! Click the picture for further information.
Felix Brueggemann shot two fashion stories in Berlin for Monocle Magazine. Many thanks to Takeharu and Richard - we enjoyed very much shooting with you.
We unexpectedly faced big disappointment at the Chilly Gonzales show in Berlin last week. Instead of amazing piano sounds, Mister Gonzales kept emceeing tough for 45 solid minutes continually declaring himself a musical genius. Finally he played entire three songs. Then again big rapping time: nasty lyrics with a squeaky voice serving us the realness of Chilly Gonzales’ vanity and screwed up the beautiful energy of Berlin Philharmonie.
Denis Darzacq will be shown with his large exhibition Gravity Language starting on May 24, 2013 for the Stockholm Dansmuseet’s reopening after it has moved to new rooms.
Felix Brueggemann photographed for the campaign of Aktion Mensch, a German social organization that is financed from a lottery which we always gladly support. The shooting was in January when it was freezing cold and our models were shivering. A thousand thanks to our models that have kept up the spirit though and did a great job such as Lars who’s blind and to see in this image. Thank you very much also to Raul and Laura.
